Roxbury Riding Club focuses on teaching a balanced seat position for Hunters, Jumpers and Equitation. Our lessons are safe, fun and and follow the curriculum of the United States Pony Club. Riding lessons emphasize horse care and the development of a correct, balanced seat and reward the development of rider skills and knowledge at every level.
For riders who do not own a horse.
Access to one riding lesson per week plus quarterly one on one goal setting sessions.
Access to 2 riding lessons per week plus quarterly one on one goal setting sessions.
Access to 3 riding lessons per week plus quarterly one on one goal setting sessions.
For riders who own or lease a horse.
Access to one group riding lesson per week plus quarterly one on one goal setting sessions.
Access to 2 group riding lessons per week plus quarterly one on one goal setting sessions.

For beginner riders who are taking a 30 minute private lesson, arrive at your scheduled lesson time. You will receive 15 minutes of learning to groom and tack the horse and 30 minutes of riding time. For riders who are taking a semi private or group lesson and with approval from your instructor, arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled lesson to groom and tack your horse independently.
We teach riders age 4 and older. Weight is restricted to 175 lbs or less. Upon scheduling your lesson, please provide your age, height and weight so we can match you to an appropriate horse.
Please wear long pants and paddock boots. We have helmets but we encourage riders to get fitted for their own helmet after their first couple of lessons. Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
Tuition is charged on a debit or credit card as a monthly recurring payment.
Drive slowly to protect our horses and riders. Park in front of the covered arena. Walk into the big yellow barn to meet us.
